Princes, or the feminine form Princesses, sometime preferred to as Heir apparents, or the feminine form Heiress apparents, are heirs to the royal families of monarchic societies and are typically blood-relatives of the rulers of kingdoms, empires, and other monarchies. Princes and princesses may hold political and governmental power as a part of their status,[1] or their title may only be symbolic.[2]
Role[]
The title of Prince or Princess is the heir apparent or presumptive of the thrones of Tamriel, respectfully. As a royalty title, Prince is the next monarch of the empires and kingdoms of Tamriel if the pervious monarch died. In the political status, Princes and princesses may hold government political powers, which have titles like Duke, or Count. A prince or princess may become the head of state of a territory that has a monarchy as a form of government, and ruled by a reigning prince.
Crown Prince[]
A crown prince or crown princess is the heir or heiress apparent to the throne in a royal or imperial monarchy. Crown prince as a descriptive term has been used throughout history for the prince who is first-in-line to a throne and is expected to succeed (i.e. the heir apparent or heir presumptive), and an heir whose claim could be set aside by the birth of another heir.
Prince Regent[]
A prince regent or princess regent who acts as regent during the minority, disability, or absence of the legal sovereign, as well be appointed to administer a country because the monarch is a minor or is absent or incapacitated.
